“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” C G Jung

Sometimes we need a space to pause and understand if life has meaning. A space to make time to explore why we feel lost or stuck. Moments like these can be transformative. Psychotherapy can reveal the meaning you are looking for.

About me

I am a Jungian Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, fully accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). I work within their codes of professional practice and ethical guidelines.

I work online and in person and have several years experience working in the NHS with The National Affective Disorder Service.

How I work

I offer a non-judgmental space where you can take time to explore your inner difficulties. A space to think and begin to understand yourself better. My approach engages with early life experiences and how they play out in adult life, along with C G Jung’s concept of the Self:

“The organising genius within that searches for wholeness.”

Individual psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes and we can meet once or more a week. You will have an initial 70 minute consultation where we can think together about why you want psychotherapy, ask any questions you may have and gain an understanding about me and how we can work together.

If agreed we will find a day and time that I will commit to keeping available to you. This does mean that I will charge for missed and cancelled sessions. There will be no charge when I am on annual leave.

Actors and Creatives

I’ve worked as an Actor for over 30 years in Film Theatre and Television. This has given me insight into how the highs and lows of this profession impact on the sense of self. How the pressures performers face restrict creative freedom, and how the performer can separate themselves from the industry allowing for greater autonomy.

I offer short term online sessions to help navigate difficulties such as

  • Rehearsal room and set dynamics

  • Stage fright

  • Drying

  • Unemployment and rejection

  • Identity issues brought by fame
